PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the child is healthy, check your child’s temperature prior to any training session.
  • Limited or no carpooling.
  • Parents must remain in their cars during training sessions.
  • Ensure child’s clothing is washed after every training session.
  • Ensure all equipment, cleats, ball, shin guards, etc. are sanitized before and after every training.
  • Notify the club immediately if your child becomes ill for any reason.
  • Be sure your child has necessary sanitizer with them at every training.

PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after training.
  • Bring and use your own hand sanitizer at every training.
  • Encouraged to wear a mask before and immediately after all training.
  • Do not touch or share anyone else’s equipment, water, snack, or bag.
  • Practice social distancing, place bags and equipment at least 6 feet apart.
  • Wash and sanitize all equipment before and after every training.
  • Each player is required to bring their own water bottle.
  • No group celebrations, no high 5’s, hugs, handshake, etc.

COACH RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coaches will wear masks during all sessions.
  • If the athletes are feeling or looking ill, they will be sent home.
  • Follow all state and local health protocols.
  • Ensure all athletes have their individual equipment (ball, water, bag, etc.).
  • Coach is the only person to handle cones, discs, etc.

Training Tools

PRE TRAINING

  • Ensure your child is healthy! Please check their temperature prior to training.
  • Ensure all equipment, cleats, ball, shin guards, bags are sanitized before every training session.
  • Players are encouraged to wear a mask until the beginning of the training.
  • Players will proceed to designated equipment drop off and directed to his/her respective coach.
  • Parents/families must remain in the car. Parents will not be permitted on the fields or sidelines or sidewalk.

TRAINING

  • Players will be asked to keep a safe social distance at all times, no less than 6 feet.
  • Players will keep social distance during Water breaks “Drink your own water”. No sharing.
  • Players will need permission to go to the Bathroom.
  • Players will be released from training by the Coaching Staff.

POST TRAINING

  • Players should use their own Hand Sanitizer immediately after training.
  • Players will wear a mask post training until picked up.
  • Players are asked to leave the park promptly to allow the next group of players to arrive.
  • Ensure all equipment, cleats, ball, shin guards, etc. are sanitized after every training.
  • Notify the club immediately if your child becomes ill for any reason.

Todd Goodman

West Pines United FC, one of the largest competitive travel youth soccer programs in South Florida is pleased to announce that Todd Goodman has been named as our new Director of Coaching.

Goodman brings a wealth of experience from his playing & coaching career. He began his collegiate playing career at Miami Dade South CC, where he captained the team to the NJCAA National Championship. The following season, he accepted a full soccer scholarship to the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he is still listed in their All-Time Scoring Record Books. Goodman then proceeded to play professionally as he traveled to play in three different countries which included stints in the United States, Israel & Jamaica.

Goodman has coached at numerous different levels which have included the youth, ODP, High School & Collegiate levels. He currently serves in the capacity of Head Coach/Director of American Heritage Plantation High School where he has won back-to-back FHSAA State Championships while being named Coach of the Year on seven separate occasions by various organizations.

Coach Goodman reflected on his DOC appointment, "I'd like to take this opportunity to personally thank the WPU BOD for entrusting me in guiding one of the top programs in South Florida Youth Soccer. Our visions are aligned & I look forward to enhancing our Club culture while implementing pathways of progression for our player pool."

Team Check-inItems needed
  1. Roster - Your Official State Roster (FYSA) or US Club Roster
    or AYSO Roster.
  2. Player Passes - for each player, coach, assistant coach, manager
  3. Medical Releases - for each player signed by a parent. Teams can use their club’s medical releases. These do not need to be notarized.
  4. Guest Player Forms - signed by the borrowing club’s registrar for any guest players outside the club. (These forms will need to be dropped off at the Tournament headquarters prior to 1st game played)

All check-ins will take place with the referees prior to each game played

( unless otherwise noted on the website front page or via email notification)

For larger Tournaments we may need to have team check-in on the Friday night prior to the tournament date
