Congratulations to our girls in winning the 2017 Sarasota Cup this past weekend. The team had a slow start in the first of three pool games, which ended in a 0-0 draw. Coach Chang was pleased on how the team played organized on the defensive side of the ball, but did have some concerns in their transitioning to offense. In the games to follow including the championship game, the team did not disappoint their coach as they came out more focused, winning all remaining games. The team scored a total of 19 goals with only 1 against. Coach Chang emphasized that this was a team effort and all 12 players on the roaster contributed towards this championship.
We want to wish the team best of luck in their next big tournament and we know the team commitment will get them to that next level. Go Pines!!!
