  • A Form of identification (Picture and name, DOB) required at check-in the day of the tournament.
  • If the participant is registered in FYSA , Participant should mention it at registration for ease of identification.
  • Bracket established by age and gender.
  • Medical release form to be presented day of tournament

  • If there is a conflict with a FYSA game after you register for this GK tournament , we will refund the registration fee as long as the WPU goalkeeper director is notified prior to the tournament registration closing date (applies to WPU club players only) .
  1. 1 v 1
  2. Each game will last 2 halves of 3 minutes. Switch side between halves.
  3. Each goal will start with a number of balls in the net to be used when required
  4. Goalkeepers can only try to score from within their own half
  5. They can try to score using the following techniques:
    a. Shot off the ground
    b. Volley
    c. Half-Volley
    d. Any type of throw
  6. If a shot misses the target then the defending goalkeeper gets a ball out of their own net to continue the game, they don’t have to wait until the ball is retrieved.
  7. Rebounds off the goalkeeper or goal (posts/crossbar) are allowed if the ball comes back into your own half of the pitch and still within the pitch boundary
  8. In the knock out games if a game ends in a draw then the game continues until the first goal is scored and unanswered. Each goalkeeper gets a chance. Over time will be determined by a coin toss. Scenarios after a draw :
    GK A scores , GK B shoots and misses -> GK A wins
    Gk A misses , GK B shoots and scores -> GK B wins
    Gk A misses , GK B misses -> continue
    GK A scores , GK B scores -> continue
  9. In the event of a goalkeeper being injured and/or unable to continue for the remainder of the Tournament, the goalkeeper will be forfeited with a loss of 2-0.
  10. The goalkeeper who starts a game is determined by a coin toss.
  1. Each Age Group will be separated and consists of a Group Format. Each goalkeeper will play against each other. The number in each group will be dependent on how many entries there are.
  2. The following points will be awarded in the group stage:
    a. Win – 3pts
    b. Draw – 1pt
    c. Loss – 0pts
  3. In the event of a tie at the end of the group stage (same points) the following will be used to determine final position:
    a. Goal Difference
    b. Least Goals conceded
    c. Most wins
  4. Depending on how many entries in each group , following the Group Stage, goalkeepers will progress to the Knock Out.
    a. Quarter Finals (optional)
    b. Semi Finals
    c. Final
