On October 20th 2007 West Pines United Coach Mario Garcia was honored by his alma mater - West Virginia Wesleyan College by being inducted into the Athletic Hall Of Fame. Garcia is the 4th soccer player to be inducted.

"I can’t put into words how I feel, It was a wonderful trip for me and I am totally humbled by the experience." , Garcia said on receiving this honor.

Garcia is very involved in the West Pines community were he coaches. He has two children, Mikayla and Savannah, who play travel soccer for West Pines United. You can always find Garcia at the WPU soccer fields helping kids develop their soccer skills or just having fun watching his kids play FUTBOL.
